Hey there! Jordan here, the girl behind the lens with Jordan Ashley Photography. I could write something cheesy here (and thoroughly considered it if I’m going to be completely honest), but no one wants me to attempt that. Personally, my eyes have a tendency to glaze over when I read most “About Me” blurbs. So here it is 💁‍♀️

I LOVE photography. For years I was always the one telling people (specifically my husband) to smile while I pulled my phone out and took selfies everywhere we went. Years. I did this for more years than I care to admit on here because I like to think I’m still in my twenties (I’m very much not, but a girl can pretend 😂). Then one day, everything shifted. I swear, from the moment I held my Canon, she’s pretty much lived within reaching distance at all times.

My photography style is as unconventional as I am. I mix posed shots with candid and natural ones so you’ll receive a mashup of vibes depending on how that photo tells me it’s supposed to feel. Yes, I realize that probably sounds odd but hey, so am I. What I CAN promise you is that I’ll care (on a truly unhealthy level) about ensuring your photos don’t just hold a memory of some stranger following you around, but that my goal is to make them as unique as you are. 📸 Because I like having the flexibility to work in any situation, I don’t work in one niche of photography. I pretty much won’t say no to a project (ok, unless you’re being creepy. Let’s not do that. Don’t make it weird).

From Events, to updated branding for your business, Lifestyle/Portraits, Headshots, Family Photos, Weddings, Engagements, Proposals (I will hide in a bush if needed), updated Couples Photos, Friend Groups (because family isn’t necessarily always blood), Baby photos, Maternity… those are a few but I’m not going to ramble off every single one here. Basically, if there’s something you want a picture of? I got you. My prices are all incredibly transparent, reasonable, and you can find them on my services page as well as the Online Booking platform. Check them out & if you want something custom that isn’t listed? All you have to do is reach out and we’ll create something that lines up with your vision. I’m based out of Cape Girardeau, MO 📍 but I’m open to travel (there is a travel fee listed in my package rates as an add on if you’re looking).

I’m a female veteran & I actually met my husband when we were stationed on the same ship. We’ve been together since 2013, and I can happily say that I’m with my soulmate/best friend ❤️. We’ve lived all over the country, and now we live in Cape Girardeau with our golden retriever Oakley and his hoard of dog toys 🐾. When I’m not out snapping photos, I’m creating in some way. Either I’m writing, creating dishes in the kitchen (to feed way more than my two person household), or creating memories with my passport. I love to read, hang out with my husband and my dog, edit photos, and explore new place that fit nicely in my photography portfolio & between the pages of my novels.

I’m a bit unconventional, but I try to make every session as relaxed as possible, while letting your personality shine. Photos overall can be awkward, weird, and no one knows what to do with their hands… but I’ll guide you through it and try to make each session as fun as possible.
